Communications Committee
Purpose:  The Communications Committee was established to explore and expand effective means of communication among parisioners of Holy Family Parish so that the parish can grow and thrive in its mission to serve the Catholics of Bolivar and Galveston.
Meeting Date and Time: Meetings are held in response to task-specific projects. The committee is currently meeting the first Tuesday of the month in the parish facility.
Accomplishments: Redesign of the weekly bulletin cover with parish contact information (September 2010)
Ongoing and Proposed Projects:
	Review communication methods including but not limited to bulletin, website, announcements at Mass, email, mailings, bulletin boards, newspaper, ministries, organizations, new parishioners Develop "welcoming packet" and introductory orientation for new parish members ("draft" of Parish Handbook) available to Committee Members only  Document current "parish numers" (registered memebers, ministries, organizations) Meet with parish staff/council to establish short and long term goals for commnication Review communication needs/resources of parish school (coordinate efforts) Review what other parishes are doing to get people involved
